113000 mi US $500 Driving down interstate...bang...vehicle stalled briefly...kept going...bang again...vehicle lost power...forced to pull to side of interstate...tranny fluid everywhere...hole in tranny...shop said tranny exploded. 
119000   The shifter cable "keeper" that attaches to the gear select shaft at the top of the transmission, broke, leaving the Escape in neutral. Sunday, so I made do with some keepers bought at Ace Hardware and some ingenuity. Still need to buy actual part. 
127000   Replaced a bad coil on cylinder 3, had issues with same cylinder months before took it to a friend to repair ant hey put replacement coil on cylinder 2..miss returned after a couple days...check engine light came back on few weeks later. 
132000   Alternator failed, ruined 2 yr old battery. Was a B*tch to replace, also replaced serpentine belt as it was showing wear.

96000 mi US $700 Ring on half shafts read by the ABS sensor cracked on both shafts. ABS would kick in at random braking events. Could have rings replace only but the cost differential was such that made more sense to replace the half-shafts. Close to normal wear and tear
