Twice parts have left from “Tommy’s Express” franchise chain car wash. The first time a trim piece that covers the hatch trim was missing. I returned to the car wash and the unbroken part was recovered. It appears to snap on then have industrial hook & loop to secure. The second time the entire rear wiper was removed. The car wash associates said that is typically Toyota or Honda issue. (?) purchased parts under company account and saved approximately 30%. |

Auto stop/start not working. Replaced battery and recalibrated ABS. From the repair order: Verified customer concern. Stop-start inop. Monitored auto stop-start status in IPC and upon coming to a complete stop message "Vehicle on due to vehicle charging" present. Tested battery and battery failed. Replaced battery and reset BMS. Retested and stop-start still inop. Same message present. Test drove vehicle so that vehicle could learn new BMS values. Retested again and stop-start still inop. Performed scan tool tests and found code U0100 fault. Diagnosed code to rule out the possibility that the fault was inhibiting the stop-start system from functioning. Found SSM 49157 for code U0100. Followed SSM 49157 producer and reprogrammed GSM to latest calibration and clear DTC. Test drove vehicle and monitored stop-start pids and found stop-start vehicle status changed and showed SS_INHIB_EC11 stop-start inhibited due to steep grade/hill. Also noticed that the message status changed in the IPC to the same "Vehicle on due to steep grade". Test drove vehicle and even on a flat surface this message appeared in the IPC in the event of a complete stop. Performed anti-lock brake system calibration on a flat surface and retested once again. Auto stop-start is operating normally at this time. |
