2010 Ford Escape XLT 4WD 3.0 V6 240hp Sun and Sync option package
2010 Ford Escape XLT 4WD 3.0 V6 240hp Sun and Sync option package
Low price for features included compared to other CUVs in this segment
V6 240HP has great acceleration always has power to spare
Clear and unabstructed view in all directions
Lots of useful space for the size of the vehicle
Feature packed even at the medium XLT trim level
Interior is low end "fabric" for lack of a better word. Distracting array of shades of beige on the dash, doors and seats
OK, but the electronic assit stearing provides less feedback then earlier models
This is my 2nd AWD V6 Escape. I bought it based on the positive experiences with the first (2006) The 2010 is a much better CUV then the older one. Faster, better ride and quieter are the three standout improvements. The Sync tech package is fairly easy to use and interacts well with most smart phones. A good value used car priced generally lower then others in this segment. Good all around CUV
Interesting insight. Just bought our 2010 Escape in early Sept, so not ready to make my own reliable comments until about 6 months or so of ownership.
First impressions are ok/nice. Maybe a 7.5 or 8 overall. Got a Limited 4cyl FWD. Pretty much has everything. Didn't realize every option it had until about a month later. Biggest complaint is that it's noisy. Not too awful loud, but not as quiet as I'd like. Electronic assist steering is quite new to me, so I have nothing to compare it to as far as past versions. Seems fine to me.
