Why the 2006 GMC Sierra 1500?

Price or payments

It was cheaper than Ford, Toyota, AND Dodge as a used vehicle.

Cargo capacity

Up to 8000lbs towing capacity which makes it a great travel trailer hauler.

Past personal experience

Having driven this model with the Military, it was a solid performing vehicle.

Why Not the 2006 GMC Sierra 1500?

Fuel economy

Fuel economy is a suggestion - the truck, like all trucks, gets mediocre fuel economy.

Interior styling

Cheaply made, cheap parts, styling, and fit and finish to them was something you do in a race to the end of the shift on the assembly line.

Reliability & durability

Slightly better than Dodge, but at the bottom of the reliability pile. This truck is on its third set of front wheel bearings and a new alternator at just 130,000 miles.

Dealer practices
