Why the 2006 Honda Ridgeline?

Cargo capacity

In bed trunk and folding rear seats accomodate most any combination of cargo that I need to transport. Power and towing capability is more than adequate for towing trailer and two jetskis without the "large truck" look and feel.

Feature availability

Two way tailgate, storage compartment, heated mirrors, heated leather seats, 6 CD player, rear seat entertainment system, dual zone air conditioning, XM radio, etc. Vast array of wheels, bed covers, roof racks, accessories.

Why Not the 2006 Honda Ridgeline?

Exterior styling

Chunky, unstreamlined "butch" shape is not as visually appealing as say the Toyota Tundra or Ford F-100

Fuel economy

Mileage is good for large pickup but compared to previous vehicles is less than desirable.

Price or payments

Initial cost of vehicle plus options is higher than comparable vehicles.

Interior styling

Again, styling is meant to convey "macho" big truck image but large interior door handles, interior colors and "carved dash" is a bit over the top!

Insurance cost

Insurance costs are again higher than previously owned vehicles. Depreciation appears to be greater than on previous Honda vehicles based on initial data.
