Back window was making a popping noise. Dealer reseated window and replaced trim. Problem fixed.
Cracking and or popping noises come from the rear wimdow/frame area. This seems to occur on hot dry days and when going over rough pavememt and bumps. The shop admitted that they have had similar complaints, but couldn't replicate.
On hot days the rear window makes a cracking noise when car is turned right over rough pavement or upon entering an entrance off the highway. Shop admitted the problem has been reported by other elantra owners but could not duplicate it.
rear window seal had to be replaced as it the rear window made awful squeaking,cracking,rattling noises on hot days when making sharp turns
Replaced the Front Window seal. It had been leaking a little air and water and making cracking noises, much like a previous problem with the back window.
Cont of rear window problem. Delayed repair until Suspension work was done. No parts, window simply reset in frame. NO way to tell if problem is fixed - with warmer weather noise went away.
Crack around rear lock. Cover on front lights turning opaque.
All trim on the inside of the hatchback is coming off. It covers the electrical systems etc. First piece broke off years ago. Multiple shops have said they would order it etc. Last shop said parts not available. Used duct tape to fix.
