Why the 2012 Hyundai Elantra?

Fuel economy

Impressed with fuel mileage, and I'm getting better than touted. Couldn't do that with the last car, unless I could find pure gas (no ethanol). With the Elantra I'm getting 40 mpg mixed driving with ethanol.

Cargo capacity

We travel a lot and the cargo space with the Elantra is great. Before we couldn't take everything we wanted or needed.

Interior styling

Seems so roomy compared to the other cars we looked at, and it's comfortable with all the controls right at hand. The only thing I would change so far is the center arm rest, wish it was a bit more forward. A little hard to get the elbow on.

Exterior styling

We had been seeing the Elantra on the road and really like the lines. It looks graceful and very pleasing to the eye. I think Hyundai has a winner with this bodystyle.
