Introduction

Why the 2013 Hyundai Elantra?

Interior styling

Both the exterior and interior styling of this car and the entire line of Hyundai's, I find very appealing. The interior combines beauty with a logical and ergonomical layout of controls and functions. The leather seats are very comfortable and the interior leg room (both front & back) is excellent.

Past personal experience

This is the third Elantra I have owned and operated. All of them have been maintnance free and a pleasure to drive to and from work and on both short and long trips.

Fuel economy

I have over 1,100 miles on the car as of today. My first long trip of 450 miles yielded an average of 38.6 mpg. I am consistently seeing over 33 mpg in city driving. This is as good as advertised.

Handling

The "feel" in driving and steering response is immediate and very positive. It goes where point it and corners very well. This combined with the stability coontrol and braking give me supreme confidence.

Driving position & visibility

The 8-way power driver seat (not available on most other small cars even as an option) allows me and other drivers the flexibitlity too set the position for best visibility and comfort. The leather seats are very comfortable and legroom is plentiful both front and rear.

Why Not the 2013 Hyundai Elantra?

Front seat support & comfort

This is really not a con. If they offered the option of a front passenger power seat with lumbar as an option, I along with many others would likely opt for it.
