Introduction

Bought in 2012 because I was moving to the country, and knew I would be driving a fair amount to get anywhere. Have had no regrets.

2012 Kia Optima Love Letter

The only complaint I have for this car was the extra charge for the colour: something graphite. The hybrid only came in certain colours that year, so it's not as if I had much of a choice. The dealer said that all colours that year were charged extra on the hybrid. I should have walked out! Other than that, no complaints about any feature of the body.

Conclusion

For the first time in my life, I'm looking at buying the same car - another Kia Optima Hybrid.

The car took us all over the US, from Toronto to Phoenix, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and home in one trip over winter: zero problems.
Drove down to Florida last year and back; again, no problems.
I very much enjoy this car, and would recommend it to anyone looking at a hybrid.
Oops! The one thing I find annoying is that the combined guidance and radio system are third party, and they want $100US to update the maps every year. The sound system itself is fine, and the visual display is okay.
