11000 mi Tech was able to recreate clunking noise. Thought it was due to shredded strut boots on front suspension (both sides). Dealer also recommended completing a TSB that it found regarding noise from front of vehicle. 
11800 mi Strut boots replaced and TSB completed (replace front strut bearings). A couple days after repair, heard clunking noise again - problem not fixed. Over the next several weeks, clunking noise heard more often and got louder.
