Why the 2011 Mazda Mazda2?

Handling

This car is very manueverable. It can turn tightly and squeeze into some tight places.

Exterior styling

For a small car it is very stylish and stands out among all of the other small cars.

Tires

The OEM tires only lasted about 22,000 miles. I replaced them with the (nearly) identical aftermarket version of the low rolling resistance tires. The ride was slightly harsher, but they certainly are lasting a lot longer. It would have been nice if Mazda would have put the replacement tires on in the first place. I assume they do this so that the smoothest possible ride is offered to potential buyers.

Front seat room

Adequate, but no more, for a large 6 footer.

Audio & nav systems

I had the dealer install a Bluetooth kit. The microphone does not pick up voices very well. There was a recall of the radio (cold weather performance). It is a credible audio system for that car. All in All, we are very satisfied with the purchase of the Mazda2.

Why Not the 2011 Mazda Mazda2?

Fuel economy

See postive comments for the cons. Fuel economy is OK, but for a car of this size and engine, I would have expected 2 more mpg than the average 32 that we get around town.

Other Features of the 2011 Mazda Mazda2

Driving position & visibility

We are very pleased with this car. It has performed up to our (high) expectations and expect to keep it for a long time.
