Why the 2000 Saturn L-Series?

Safety & braking

The car is safe, especially being a saturn. This is my last top-feature as the car does have good ratings, but the braking is horrible. The lines rusted out after only 19 years, and replacing rotors was hard. This car warps them and eats pads. poor brakes

Why Not the 2000 Saturn L-Series?

Fuel economy

It...sucks. For a 190hp v6 I expected 23 or more. I get as low as 17 in the winter, and I max out at 25 at any time in the year all highway. With new plugs I am getting 21-22 around the suburbs, compared to 18/19 earlier.

Reliability & durability

First model year, suspension needs complete overhaul due to design flaws, not many part failures but if the timing belt breaks the car is garbage. Many little expensive issues.

Insurance cost

It depreciates fast, as Saturn is gone. Insurance is average, not great though it is safe, because accident repair costs are high due to parts availability.
