2012 Impreza - base 2012 Subaru Impreza / WRX Pros and Cons Member5347 The fuel economy isn't as high expected. I get about 28 mpg. I should probably stop driving like I stole it when the kids are out of the car. |
Subaru Impreza - Sleek, Simple, Practical 2013 Subaru Impreza / WRX Pros and Cons Member5825 Two-Year Veteran It takes a while for the engine & drivetrain to break in, but when they do you will start to see some very impressive numbers on the ODO.

I'm at ~2600 miles right now and averaging 29-30 mpg between 50% open freeway cruising, 25% freeway traffic, 25%... |

great car, this new subaru impreza 2013 Subaru Impreza / WRX Pros and Cons Member2749 Wow, this is what I said after 2 days with the vehicle, winter driving, and its cold winter here. I averaged 7.6 l/100km, mixed city and highway driving, at -20 celsius, through snow most time of these 2 days. Very impressive for awd vehicle! |

WRX- Best bang for the buck but at a premium. 2004 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons Member5686 Expect 20-24 mpg depending on how you drive. One does not buy an AWD turbo Subaru with fuel economy in mind. These cars were meant to be driven in a spirited manner. Keep in mind vehicle is required to be used with premium fuel. |

2003 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons Member5081 We got 28 to 30 at best. I miss the AWD though. |
|
2008 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons Member2360 For such a small car with NA 170hp engine the economy is rather poor ~24mpg. |

2008 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons Member1232 much better than expected, considering all wheel drive, and a bit of a heavy foot |

2010 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons A member in New Jersey, United States Really crappy, especially for a 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. 22 MPG average. 18 city, 27 highway is what I got. |

2010 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons Member3954 Not really dislike, I didnt expect civic like mpg. Around town mileage suffers, but on the highways the car cruises quite easily. You can expect ~25mpg on average combined (with no led food). Impressive for the hp and AWD. |

|
2006 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons A member in South Africa very heavy on fuel. Between 6 and 8 km per litre standard |
|
2008 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons Member3763 Pathetic for a compact sedan at <28 mpg highway. The AWD system must be a huge fuel sink. |
|
2006 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons Member3712 Not a gas guzzler, but not a gas sipper either. Aggressive driving = poor fuel mileage |
|
2005 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons A member in Georgia, United States Average 18mpg with mixed driving. Requires premium. |

2004 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons A member in Quebec, Canada Unless you are kind and watch the RPM/gear ratios, the Single Overhead cam engine is not miserly. |
