Why the 2010 Subaru WRX?

Powertrain performance

This thing will haul ass, if you want it to. If you just have to commute it will commute happily just like any other car. However if you mash the gas this car will respond with aplomb. Buckets of acceleration, decent mpg for the performance you get.

Handling

For straight out of the factory the handling is pretty good, at least to me. Minimal body lean in turns, and the car just seems to feel very planted. Ride harshness is I would say on par or possibly slightly better than my former civic.

Safety & braking

Exceptionally well rated in regards to safety. Tops in frontal offset and side impacts. 4 star in rollover (probably due to the cars weight). Quite safe for a larger yet still classed a compact car.

Color choices

Come on .... world rally blue? Awesome. Though this car is amazing in white. Really a good set of color choices for anyone. Red is quite stunning too.

Why Not the 2010 Subaru WRX?

Fuel economy

Not really dislike, I didnt expect civic like mpg. Around town mileage suffers, but on the highways the car cruises quite easily. You can expect ~25mpg on average combined (with no led food). Impressive for the hp and AWD.

Audio & nav systems

The audio, while not the worst isnt really the best either. I have the "upgraded 10 speaker stereo" and it does leave a bit to be desired. Sound placement is good, but the speakers could be better.

Insurance cost

You need to shop around for insurance for this thing. Also you gotta be careful about speeding tickets as the car is really just naturally fast. So watch that speedo! Its easy to jump 10-15mph with just a touch of the pedal... even in 5th gear.
