Mar 2009 US $3000 Car was driven to store and then wouldn't go into reverse. It was towed to a shop. It was the original clutch so that was repaired. After repair it still wouldn't go into reverse and was not running correctly. It was diagnosed with transmission trouble. A used transmissions was ordered and should be delivered next week. It will be installed and hopefully the problem will be over. I called Toyota and reported the problem in case they ever decide there is a problem.Manual transmissions seldom go bad.

Jul 2012   Took in for a/c recharge. After recharge A/C was turning on and off at will. Replaced battery. After battery was replaced there were two instances of car not starting. 
Nov 2014   The engine light won't go out. Possible major repairs. Not fixing because of cost at this time. The engine light has been a problem over the years but often was cleared and passed inspection, Hoping this will happen again.

Aug 2009 US $520 Catalytic Converter needed to be replaced. Check engine light provided the code that pointed to the replacement. Oxygen Sensor needed to be replaced. Check engine light provided the code that pointed to the replacement.

Feb 2009 US $1100 Airbag light has been coming on. I took it in for them to look at it. They said there was a bad seat belt assembly and that the airbag sensor needed to be replaced. The total came to $1100, but too much to be replaced. 
Jun 2010   a/c quit working, took to shop for diaginostic, but they said it was something else. I paid $49 for them to look at it. Went to several parts stores before someone said "have you tried you relay?" so, I bought it and it worked....$7!!! 
Jan 2011   fuel pump and module need to be replaced 
Feb 2011   Wheel bearing assembly replaced on rear, both sides.  
Apr 2011   Noisy when stopping. Caused from ruptured wheel cylinder on right rear. Both cylinders and shoes replaced.

May 2004 US $5000 Dealership stated my transmission was failing and needed to be replaced. 
Nov 2008   Intake manifold gasket was bad. Replaced. 
Feb 2009   Calipers needed replacing. Air conditioning not blowing cold air. 
Sep 2009   The hood would rattle at idle, mechanic replaced some rubber mounts/dampers and solved the problem. I took it in for a CEL scan and left it overnight. When I went back the next day the mechanic said that the car's computer doesn't remember codes and that something is wrong with the ECU.
