2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh Like the Camry Hybrid with which it shares a hybridized 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (good for 219 combined horsepower), the RAV4 Hybrid can get from a dead stop to 60 mph in under eight seconds--pretty quick. But it doesn't sound or feel pleasant when rushed. For the optimal experience in a... Comparison vehicle: 2019 Subaru Forester |

2017 Kia Niro Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh Drive to keep the efficiency indicator in the eco range, and the Niro accelerates slowly. A Prius is even more sluggish, but this won't be much of an excuse for the people trapped behind you. Sacrifice fuel economy to keep up with traffic, and the Niro's engine delivers, but with... Barely average 2013 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons Member2819 Transmission shifting performanse is weird and disconcerting. It shifts a low, sometimes with wild swings in engine RPMs. It frequently overshoots, getting to too high gear, just to downshift a second or two later. |
Perfect small family vehicle 2011 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons Member5961 For a 4 cyl CUV, this car had a great amount of power. It's not a speed demon or anything, but compared to the rest of the segment (CR-V, Forester, ect) it was better to my wife and I. |

RAV4 - very competent but check the controls 2013 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons sasolomon The powertrain is quite smooth - 6speed trans shifts nicely whether jabbing it or in traffic or manually shifting. The manual shifting works ok but toyota assumes it is smarter than you and will override - and the indicator will not match the actual gear. Power is decent,... |

Comfy fuel-efficient Cute-Ute, easily tows trailer 2009 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons Member4021 V6 Rav4 is fun to drive. Around town its very responsive in comparison to most Cute-Utes and passing power is impressive at highway speeds. Drivetrain is smooth, without searching for gears on hills like my friends' Escape V6, Pathfinder and turbo'd RDX. |
|
2011 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons Member5097 The 4 cylinder performs well overall. I would have preferred a 5 or six speed transmission, seems like an extra gear would help with fuel economy and hill ascents. |

|
2011 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons Member4600 The RAV4 has the best power/weight ratio in its class. Engine is smooth, with a wide power band. Ever feels wanting. Uses synthetic oil, so changes are at 10k mi intervals. |

|
2008 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons Member3741 Some of the best in class passing power and acceleration, while retaining above-average fuel economy. Optional V6 is great; would not have considered RAV6 if the only engine was the standard I4. |

2008 Toyota RAV4 Pros and Cons A member in Ontario, Canada The power is actually a bit scary sometimes in terms of how quickly it comes on when passing someone but I never have an issue with not being able to pass someone or keep up with traffic when fully loaded |
