Reliability & durability

The only problem I have with the 2005 Tacoma is that the front mud guards crack and bang on the bottom of the truck while driving. The mud flap problem is common according to other owners and the dealer will not warranty them. Big $$ to replace.

Powertrain performance

Handles on and off road great. Hauls two dirt bikes with ease.

Cargo capacity

Great load capacty. Two dirt bikes, no problem.

Price or payments

I paid +32,000 and could have purchased a full sized American truck for far less.

Fuel economy

I expected better fuel economy for a small truck. But none of the trucks get good economy. The manufacturers need to get with the program on truck fuel economy.

Discounts & incentives

I paid full price for my Tacoma, no deals or incentives. Toyota is pretty proud of their Tacomas.
