Why the 2009 Volvo C30?

Powertrain performance

Nice flat torque curve. You can talk HP all day long, but it is torque that gets you moving and keeps you going. Pulls well at low RPMs and holds it until 5000 RPM. Handles the power very very well.

Materials & workmanship

Nothing looks or feels cheap. Paint on the plastic and metal match perfectly. Joints are tight and consistant. Welds are very consistant. Materials feel thick and substantial.

Feature availability

In 2009 there were a lot of options. I could get exactly what I wanted. Laminated glass, HID lights, integrated bluetooth, etc.

Exterior styling

Unique, classy, and just the right amount of whimsy.

Why Not the 2009 Volvo C30?

Cargo capacity

You have to be sure the cargo area will work for you. If you need to carry a lot all the time, you will be disappointed. Car an tow just fine, but you need an aftermarket setup as the factory does not offer a tow package.

Ride smoothness

It has a sport handling. That equates to a rougher ride on bad pavement. If your roads are in fairly good shape, the car is smooth and responsive. On bad roads, it is rough and can have wheel hop.

Color choices

Not a lot of bright colors available, but like 8 shades of grey/silver. In 2010 its even worse. Red or a shade of grey/silver.

Exterior styling

You either love it or hate it.
