Cost Problem/Repair Description
0 Replace A/C compressor. motor was binding, resulting in strange noise which varied in pitch with vehicle RPM.
70 Replace lower transmission torque mount to address "notchiness"/difficulty in moving the shifter into certain gears, particularly third. Performed the five minute remove/replace myself (four readily accessible bolts), so the listed cost is for the part o
53000 30 Part of plastic bracket holding fuel door spring broke.
58000 45 Boost control solenoid bad -- removed and replaced with new unit. Subtle issue -- only apparent a wide open throttle.
59300 126 Replace immobilizer antenna in steering column. Car could not read key RFID and would not start. Intermittent issue, finally diagnosed when left stranded (but finally threw a code).
81000 560 Left front wheel bearing failing and creating noise. Replaced. Blower motor power module failure. Fan remained on at all times (even when engine off) and was unresponsive to fan speed dial.
86000 1100 Leaking output seal, oil noted on transmission housing. R&R. Torn tie rod boot. Tie rod rusted underneath boot, so both tie rod and boot replaced. Lower control arm bushings worn, resulting in increased cabin vibrations and rougher ride. R&R.
95000 115 Ball joint allowing excessive vertical play and squeaking when turning or going over bumps.
97000 400 Parking brake shoes delaminated and needed to be replaced. Opted to be proactive and also replace the brake fluid at this time, but the master cylinder failed while the brakes were being bled (Murphy's Law still workS).

Cost Problem/Repair Description
0 Faulty fuel pump pressure gauge. Repaired under warranty.
0 Faulty fuel pump. Repaired under warranty.
250 Leaking radiator. Repaired under warranty. Replaced front brake pads.
34000 0 Replaced blown fuse regulating headlight. Also replaced both headlights. I was told this is "standard procedure." Since the bulbs were still good, I asked for them back. They gave them to me. Now I have a spare set!
60000 800 Replaced both front and back break pads and rotors. Had been mentioned at the 45K service as optional. I trust this mechanic and so did it now. This was a 60K mile service, so other maintenance done, but these are not included in the $800 brake cost.
76000 2050 Major suspension issues: lower front control assembly, front strut assembly, rear shocks, and strut mount bushings.
96000 550 Part of this repair was replacing a previously replaced lower control arm that failed. This, however was a bit less than half of the $550 total for this plus an additional control arm and ball joints.
106000 3400 Transmission failing to shift to third gear, sometimes spinning, sometimes hard downshifting. Shop suggested changing the transmission valve body rather than replacing the whole tranny. Seems to have worked. Control arm bushings shot on front. Replaced.
112300 940 Sludge causing the check engine light to go on. Drained oil and viewed lots of sludge. Removed oil pan, scrubbed and replaced it. Replaced filter, o-ring and sealer. Engine smoother now.  Also replaced right engine mount.
118000 4000 The turbo blew up. The mechanic said he had never seen that much smoke, ever. Had to replace and rebuild. Ugh.
