What Our Members Are Saying about the Real Gas Mileage of the Acura TL

Acura TL Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr Sedan 305-horsepower 3.7L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Mileage has been pretty good to great. At 65 mph with cruise control on a smooth, level highway I've gotten 33 mpg. 80mph (legally in west Texas) on cruise control I've gotten 24 to 25 mpg depending on wind. Between those, 70 to 75 mph on a highway, I get about the EPA highway rating of 26 mpg. In mixed highway and traffic I routinely get 23 mpg (this is my usual commute). Straight stop-and-go errand-running I get 17 to 18 mpg, which is pretty close to the EPA city rating. I tend to be somewhat light on the throttle most of the time. see full Acura TL review
2010 4dr Sedan 305-horsepower 3.7L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Definitely getting poor mpg - not sure if this is an issue with just my vehicle but I am not getting even close to the estimated fuel economy see full Acura TL review

2007 4dr Sedan 286-horsepower 3.5L V6

On highway, with driving techniques I have been able to achieve 32-24 MPG average for 300 miles! Not bad for a 3.5l 6 cylinder! see full Acura TL review

2010 4dr Sedan 305-horsepower 3.7L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Coming from a 3.2 engine that regularly got 22-23 mpg it it a bit disappointing that the 2010 TL with the 3.7 gets only 18-19 mpg. I would expect with the engine technologies improvement over the years that the bigger engine could get better fuel mileage. see full Acura TL review
2010 4dr Sedan 305-horsepower 3.7L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Terrible fuel economy - this could be an issue with just my car. I'm getting about a 12-14 average. see full Acura TL review
2009 4dr Sedan 305-horsepower 3.7L V6

Chrysler 300 Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr Sedan 292-horsepower 3.6L V6

I average 31Mpg highway, 'nuff said. see full Chrysler 300 review
2012 4dr Sedan 470-horsepower 6.4L V8
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
This car has a 6.4-Liter V8 engine which produces more horsepower and torque than you'd ever need for any passing situation or any driving situation. That is, unless your las t name is "Andretti". The first of the 2nd gen 300 models I drove was the 390HP V8 in the AWD model, followed by the Pentastar V6. see full Chrysler 300 review
2011 4dr Sedan 292-horsepower 3.6L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
I am light footed when it comes to driving and this car with the 3.6 will return very favourable fuel economy when treated as such. This car had 500 km when I purchased it and now has 1800 km and highway mileage is consistently at 7.3 L/100Km. see full Chrysler 300 review
2005 4dr Sedan 340-horsepower 5.7L V8

The MDS allows decent fuel economy for the super-quick acceleration and fun to drive factor of a large 8 cylinder engine. see full Chrysler 300 review

2009 4dr Sedan 250-horsepower 3.5L V6

Average 23mpg overall. Temperatures under 30 degrees and the AWD is always on and got 19mpg on the highway. Not bad for a 4400lb car, not good if you pay for gas. see full Chrysler 300 review
2008 4dr Sedan 250-horsepower 3.5L V6
4-speed automatic RWD
I am not impressed with the fuel economy that my car gets. It only gets 22-24 mpg. The sticker states 26-28. I get that it is a bigger, heavier car, but they need to be more honest and realistic about the mpg. see full Chrysler 300 review
2008 4dr Sedan 250-horsepower 3.5L V6
4-speed automatic RWD
I get about 20-25% worse fuel economy than EPA specified in the city, although on the highway I do 5-10% better, despite my occasional lack of regard for the posted speed limit. see full Chrysler 300 review
2008 4dr Sedan 178-horsepower 2.7L V6

From a social conscious view the 19 MPG AVG is poor, especially with gas costing $4 a gal. But face it, considering the performance you get... I can live with the guilt and high cost of driving. see full Chrysler 300 review
