Acura TSX Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Average 28mpg over the past 6000 miles of mixed driving. Hit 36 mpg in about 200 highways miles this weekend. see full Acura TSX review
2012 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Besides price, this was my primary reason for choosing the TSX over the TL. I don't have a lead foot but average about 25-27 mpg overall. On the freeway I'm easily over 30mpg and can run 500 miles on a tank of gas. see full Acura TSX review
2010 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Surprisingly good fuel economy. Averaging around 27 mpg even with mixed driving conditions and a lead foot more often than not. Beats the EPA estimates easily especially in highway driving where 32+ MPG is possible. see full Acura TSX review
2010 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed manual FWD
Honda Accord equivalent and a lot more fun to drive. see full Acura TSX review
2010 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed manual FWD
With 100% highway miles, expect about 30 mpg. I have averaged about 24-25 mpg over 5 tanks in about 50/50 city/highway. see full Acura TSX review
2009 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4

Wonderful...............better than manufacturer quoted. see full Acura TSX review
2009 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Average fuel economy has been around 28mpg in the city and up to 37mpg on the high, according to the trip computer. see full Acura TSX review
2009 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
32 mpg highway consistantly see full Acura TSX review
2009 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Better milage than my VW Golf 1.8! Golf is a smaller car, less powerful (great ride though!). Fuel economy with the TSX almost certainly better...given the highway miles I put on. see full Acura TSX review
2007 4dr Sedan 205-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
While easy driving, the car runs at very low REVs. see full Acura TSX review

2011 4dr Wagon 201-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Fuel economy for mixed city and highway is not very good for my driving style: between 20 and 23 mpg. I don't drive with the pedal down! see full Acura TSX review
2004 4dr Sedan 200-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed manual FWD
the fact you "should" use premium gas makes it expensive to run as a 4 cylinder car see full Acura TSX review
2004 4dr Sedan 200-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed manual FWD
With my admittedly brick-like right foot, I'm lucky to get 24 MPG in mixed driving, which isn't stellar for a 6MT four-cylinder. (With California premium gas, no less.) see full Acura TSX review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Real Gas Mileage of the Volkswagen Eos

Volkswagen Eos Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 2dr Hardtop conv. turbocharged 200hp 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
On the freeway, I get 32 MPG with the cruise set at 65. Around town, I get about 30, driving conservatively. On my commute, I find that I get 27 if I drive like everyone else, zooming and stopping. If I make an effort to minimize braking, and coast on the hills and where ever possible, I’ve gotten as high as 35 MPG on the same route. The car does need 91 octane—it will run on 89 octane, but the mileage goes down, so it is a false economy. see full Volkswagen Eos review

31 mpg plus on road trips see full Volkswagen Eos review
2008 2dr Hardtop conv. turbocharged 200hp 2.0L I4

For my short commute I average 25 mpg. Driving longer distances with the top up I get better than 32 mpg. see full Volkswagen Eos review
Volkswagen Eos Real Gas Mileage: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 2dr Hardtop conv. turbocharged 200hp 2.0L I4
6-speed automated manual FWD
I have averaged 27.3 MPG since new which in itself is not bad but the engine requires a minimum of 91 octane fuel. Based on availability that makes it require 93 octane fuel. If the added fuel cost is considered that effectively makes fuel cost the same as a car averaging 25 MPG using 87 octane fuel. Most of my driving is highway and I do not view this as economical for a 2 liter 4. My other car has a 35% more powerful engine and is both larger and heavier but has lower fuel cost. see full Volkswagen Eos review
