Replaced passenger side XENON HID BULB of type D1S. Bought for $99.99 @ Canadian Tire. Because low-beam was burnt out. Original said "Philips". Replacement came in a Sylvania box, but lamp is OSRAM. Is so identical to Philips that I'm sure that both came out of the same factory. The window regulator was shot, as indicated by "crunchy sounds" when operating the power window. rnThe regulator for the Audi includes the entire window frame, mechanism, stainless-steel cables, and plastic pulleys. rnThe parts are pricey (CAD$341 from Audi -- there are no cheap Chinese knock-offs) but labour is very low, because its all one, pre-assembled unit. rnKelly and team at Sun Creek did it for around $400 plus tax. rnAt an Audi dealership it would have been double that price. |
