160000 mi

US $335
Starter failed. Replacing it means taking out the intake manifold, and replacing all the plastic hoses that some German jerk-off thought was a part that shouldn't last more than 10 years before the idiot that bought a BMW should come back and pay the dealership more money for their car. ...plastic hoses on an engine = stupid, or more appropriately: planned obsolescence. A $140 starter balloons to $350. Not a fun project, and at the long list of VW/Audi/BMW repair projects, the end of my interest in German cars.

It took 2.5 hours, 4 new tires , oil change, and change right front signal bulb I supplied. I really don’t know the labour rate as I don’t really look total bill was $1,397.00. I trust these folks as one problem I had years ago they told me I may need 4 sensors would have been approximately 4K I said if it had to be done do it as this car has been extremely reliable. In the end it was 4 bolts that hat rusted close to sensors the 4 bolts and labour was $99.00 these folks are very honest as they could have charged me 4K + tax. I have sent many people to there garage all are extremely happy with the work done on their vehicles.
