Automatic transmission rough shifting into 2nd gear. Transmission would not shift from 3rd to 4th. Drove to dealer; dealer inspected, test drove with diagnostic tool. No fault codes found. Car was operating to spec, could not replicate. CEL on. Car shifting irregular. Replaced faulty 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch. Related to older intermittent problem. |

195000 mi US $1080 |
The transmission started making a failing halfshaft bearing noise. A used 82k mile transmission was under 400, so my mechanic and I figured it would be cheaper and more reliable to replace rather than repair, so we went that route. Replaced the clutch at the same time. I would have liked to get more than 196k miles on the original transmission, but I can't really complain. |
