Tried to get into the car after it was sitting for a day and it was completely dead. No lights, no dash, no door locks. Battery was tested as fine at the jump points under the hood. Forum reseach found that there is an issue with the B+ cable which goes from the battery to the fuse box. The connection to the fuse box rattles and wears out over time at which point the fuse box loses all power from the battery. Was fixed by splicing in a new B+ cable. This is a part that was created specifically to address this problem. It was a recall for all 2007 - 2011 3-series, except the M3. M3 has identical part numbers for both the batter cable and fuse box as other 3-series vehicles.
