118100 mi After denying for 3 years that there was a problem with V6's misfiring badly Honda, after being sued, disassembled the engine and replaced 3 front piston ring sets w/2 pages of other parts. $3000. + easily. No charge. Justice, finally.

189000 mi

US $800
Replaced the VTC actuator, gear that goes on the camshaft, timing chain and crankshaft pulley. This was due to the VTC actuator beginning to make a noise when the car started and if it wasn't corrected, it could break the timing chain which would destroy the engine. This is a documented issue with this year of Accord. I did all the work myself.
189000 mi

US $800
Radiator leaked all the coolant out. This required a radiator replacement. Previous radiator coolant dump resulted in a cracked cylinder head which was my fault because I tried to drive the car while refilling with water regularly. Bad idea. Cylinder head removed, taken to a machine shop and TIG welded/machined, reinstalled.
20000 mi Oil leak from right side of timing belt cover

271-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic FWD

59000 mi Rough idle, power loss. Sparkplug was fouled and engine burning oil. Diagnostics revealed a recall that hadn't been notified. Software updated and sparkplug replaced with instructions to return in 1000 miles for further diagnostics. After 1000 miles, I only had a routine change, diagnostics we're ok. I was told there is likely an issue with rings that will have to be replaced eventually but Honda is suggesting they will absorb or share the repair costs and comp a rental.
