turbocharged 265hp 2.5L H4 5-speed manual AWD

Exhaust louder than usual for about 2 wks. The problem got away simply by moving the flexible joint around (during inspect.) Probably foreign material got caught between the flange and the gasket while going through a large puddle in cold weather
30000 mi When the dealer installed a Subaru Performance Technology boost gauge about a year ago, they apparently damaged the pressurized air line between the intercooler and throttle body. Over the past year it continuously got worse.

Almost certainly got a bad tank of gas. Car was on a long trip and running great. Refueled and immediately started knocking. Should have pulled over, but was on hour four of a five hour drive so kept going. Engine ate itself about 60 miles later. Not catastrophic (no hole punched in the block) but small block needed replacement. Heads are being refreshed, original clutch & flywheel are being replaced. Installing ARP studs and killer b pickup for future safety.
