My car started having a hard vibration as I drove to work. Acceleration made it worse. Drove the short distance to work, and then had it towed to a local Toyota dealership. No codes came up, other than a hard misfire in cylinder 2. They proceeded to take the engine apart looking for a mechanical problem, but found none. Called in some experts from Toyota who had them "try things". Eventually they found it was an air pocket in a fuel train(??). This was not covered under warranty. The car was 2 months beyond the 3 year warranty. I had just purchased it in May. Eventually called Toyota who extended a good will reimbursement to me. No one could explain how or why this happened. I have since noticed some vibration when driving at high speed. I am concerned that I have purchased a lemon. |

Oil leak |
14200 mi | Check engine light came on - the code said it was a loose gas cap - they checked for leaks and reset the code, no charge |
16700 mi | Complete hybrid failure caused by some error code. Dealer cleared the code and the car drives perfect again. |
19000 mi | Ever since the hybrid failure, MPG has topped out to 37-39 MPG. Dealer tested everything out and can't find anything wrong. This car gets NOWHERE NEAR the 48-51 EPA MPG. If I wanted 39 MPG, I would have bought a Ford Focus. |
