98-horsepower 1.8L I4 Hybrid CVT FWD
| 15166 mi | Intermittent problem. When shifting from R to D, it does not engage in D, and slips back to R. Beeping sound lets me know I am not in R, so I do not apply gas. They could not duplicate the problem, or find any codes. Nothing done. Continued intermittent problem with the transmission not engaging when shifting from R to D. Goes back to R. Sometimes takes 3 tries before D engages. Could not duplicate the problem. Kept the car overnight. No codes. Decided it must be a driver problem. Have owned previous Toyota hybrids (Camry and Prius) with no such problem. Have to wait until the problem can be duplicated. |
