CVT transmission was replaced by dealer under warranty. All the dash lights went off, signaling the problem. Fortunately, this was a problem known to Subaru, which extended the warranty for the transmission to 100,000 miles, and this failure occurred before the car reached that mile marker. The transmission was jerky before. After the replacement, my MPG went up by 2 mpg.

Transmission fluid was overheating at speeds as 77MPH. Had been going on for some time. One day a lot of lights came on. Fix was to replace a valve body on the transmission. Apparently the torque converter wasn't getting enough fluid to fully lock which caused overheating.

Entire transmission replaced under warranty due to a failing bearing.

There's a loud chirp sound from the front of car when transmission goes into reverse and brakes still applied. Dealer far away. I will visit Dealer when more things go wrong to make that trip more worthwhile.

Front Drive-line still chirps when put into reverse on first start on the day using OEM tires. Does not do this when winter studded tires are installed on a seasonal basis. Go back to OEM tires in spring, chirp returns.
