Button on shifter that allows you to move from park to R/D reverse/drive broke a small plastic part inside cracked and could not move out of park.was about to have car towed to dealer when I figured out that I could put my finger and slide down the release, then drove straight to Dealer. Service representative told me that this is a common problem with 2017 CRV and of course no recall yet, so a 5 cent piece of plastic totally knocked out my $40,00 Honda, wonder how many people had to get their car towed to dealer for this defect?/

Plastic shift lever release button broke into several pieces, rendering it inoperative. Happened while shifter was in the Drive position, so I could only operate the shifter between Drive and Neutral. Dealer replaced shifter button, stating it was 3rd one they had seen. Had I not been able to push my vehicle out of its parking spot, a tow would have been required.
