| May 202118100 mi | No repairs have been done but that's because Hyundai refuses to honor their own 100,000-mile warranty on the power train. There are less than 25,000 miles on the GDI engine. Gasoline accumulates in the crankcase due to the GDI. The oil has been analyzed several times and after 2,000 miles there is fuel contamination of 5 percent. The oil has been changed 12 times because of the contamination. Hyundai will not even check for leaky fuel injectors. I began testing the oil and requesting warranty action in December 2019. They had me return to the dealer to take photos of the oil dipstick during 1,000 mile intervals. I kept paying for the oil to be analyzed, with ranges from 3 - 5 percent contamination. They determined in the spring of 2021 that this was normal and refused to check the engine further. | ||
