290-horsepower 3.5L I6 9-speed shiftable automatic FWD
52000 mi | Strange squeaking noise while car runs at speeds of 30mph or below. Has been happening since we bought this car and started around 5K miles and keeps recurring. This is the 3rd trip to dealer with this complaint. Dealer acknowledged that the problem came from the Acura factory with the original car, but Acura refuses to take responsibility. Due to this being my 2nd Acura bought from same dealer and other family acura's and relationship with the dealer, he agreed to honor and fix the issue. According to the Dealer, one of the rotors on the car ( front driver side) does not match the factory spec compared to the other three, and this causes some issue with alignment and the pad. This Car is always dealer maintained, so there were no fingers to point elsewhere. Regardless the car is now out of manufacture warranty, but dealer stepped up to fix the issue with the scraping/squeaking noise. As I post this in mid-Dec 2021, the issue of the noise has now re-appeared. Perhaps its time to ditch the Acura brand and get my family excited with a more reliable brand of luxury. |
