Also replaced a broken fuel door lock mechanism. One say I looked and it was open, mechanism wouldn’t work. The fuel door on a Q5 opens when you push it in slightly, but only when car is unlocked.

The Audi service manager said he supposed the rain leaking was from an incorrectly installed tray like piece under the hood nearest the wipers. It was not snapped in correctly. It is not known when work could have been done that required the removal of the tray in the 1st place.
