2dr Hardtop conv. turbocharged 300hp 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic RWD

Why the 2008 BMW 3-Series?

Feature availability

Hardtop convertible. Lots of toys (small lights under the door handles, speedometer that can be read in direct sunlight, auto lights and wipers...)

Powertrain performance

The engine is so flexible, lots of torque at low rpm. Nice automatic.

Front seat support & comfort

Sport seats fit me exceptionally well. Plush enough for the wife to enjoy a long drive.

Brand reputation & image

BMW 3 series regularly makes lists as a "drivers car" and best in its class.

Why Not the 2008 BMW 3-Series?

Rear seat room & comfort

It has a back seat, but unless it is a short trip it is very tight for adults.

Cargo capacity

Still quite small, but with careful packing it is reasonably useful. Four of us went for a weekend with all gear in the trunk and the top down. Cruise luggage for a week for 2 fit with the top up. If needed the back seat can be used for more luggage.

Price or payments

Reasonably equipped in Canada it is a $75,000 car
