Why the 2004 BMW 3-Series?

Why Not the 2004 BMW 3-Series?

Rear seat room & comfort

Small, small, small. Rear facing carseat only fits in the middle seat. Pain to get baby in and out of car.

Reliability & durability

I have had to have the car repaired three times in one year of ownership.

Audio & nav systems

Harman Kardon stereo system kinda sucks. After 75000 miles, the speakers sound tinny and they are fuzzy and distorted at only moderate volumes.

Price or payments

If you buy a CPO, the price is much higher than private party.

Depreciation

These cars tend to depreciate very quickly. Retail value in 2004 was around $42k. Private party value is $15k now (June 2009).
