Why the 2007 BMW 3-Series?

Handling

The BMW 328xi (AWD) has over 124k miles and handles and brakes like it is new. Very predictable handling, gives you confidence in an emergency you could throw it around a problem and avoid getting involved in an accident.

Safety & braking

BMW put many many safety features into this year 3 series cars, including electronic stability control if you need to make an emergency maneuver, brakes that wipe the rain water off the rotors if you lift on the gas pedal, crash ratings with Fed.(+ more)

Feature availability

Self Diagnostic capabilities if you study manual. They seemed to have thought of everything, well, nearly everything, there is no spare tire, instead the new car came with run-flats. Just bought a used wheel on eBay and strapped it in the trunk.

Quietness

For a 124k mile old car, it rides and is as quiet as a new car.
