Why Not the 2008 BMW 3-Series?

Driving position & visibility

Its odd not sure how else to describe it, I could never find a good and comfortable position in the car and never enjoyed driving it. I previously had a Miata, which was smaller and never had a problem, my Infiniti M35 is also a lot better.

Controls and instruments

The windshield wiper and turn signal controls are goofy, they come on for about 2 secs then turn off. I should have read the manual, but since I am a guy I go by trial and error. Not intuitive without reading manual. The cupholders are in odd locations.

Materials & workmanship

Having driven and Infiniti the last few years I have to say that BMW is underwhelming. Granted I am comparing the upper Infiniti to a entry level BMW, but still it looks cheaply made.

Interior styling

Controls are in odd places, the cupholders are essentially an afterthought and thus became functionally useless and overall the car just does not measure up.
