Buy it for the excellent handling, brilliant engine and driver-focussed ergonomics but be prepared to pay big bucks for luxury/tech features and repairs out of warranty.

One of the best engines ever made. Smooth revving, good torque and superb smoothness and sound.
Love the handling! no other comparable car in the entry level luxury segment even comes close.

well laid-out, easy to use controls and instruments.
Why Not the 2010 BMW 3-Series?
ride could be better. So could the noise intrusion into the cabin.
can be better. It depends a lot on driving habits though. Premium fuel adds to the expense.
Small things keep breaking or failing. The engine and drivetrain are solid though.
Rear seat room not as expansive as competitors. Trunk capacity could be better.
Excellent Warranty coverage if you have it, but be prepared to shell out a lot of $$$ for repairs and maintenance.
Other Features of the 2010 BMW 3-Series
Lots of good features but they are very expensive when you add the different packages.
Front seats could use more side-bolstering on the non-sport model version.
Audio system is weak if you do not have the upgradedHarman Kardon option. Expected much better from a BMW.
Paint is peeling on smoe switches and other high-touch areas after just 4 years.
