GM looked at the issue and determined that the car was fine, upon further inspection from NTB the upper strut mounts are made from very cheap hard plastic and rattle under certain weather conditions. Steering feels tight while traveling in a straight line for a long period of time. GM indicted that the worm gears are missing teeth and that this will be repaired under a TSB.
