What Our Members Are Saying about the Seat Room and Comfort of the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr Minivan, ext. 197-horsepower 3.8L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
It holds 5 people in the rear comfortly. It also has great utility. With the Stow & Go seats they all fold neatly into the floor. It even fits a 4 foot by 8 foot sheet of plywood -- I did not have to rent a truck from Home Depot. see full Chrysler Town & Country review
2009 4dr Minivan, ext. 251-horsepower 4.0L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Better seats and seating position than Town Car or Deville as a comparison. see full Chrysler Town & Country review

2007 4dr Minivan 180-horsepower 3.3L V6

Very good support. Just the right height. Tilt steering column adds to comfort. Armrest also provides added comfort. see full Chrysler Town & Country review
2007 4dr Minivan 180-horsepower 3.3L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
The 2nd and 3rd row seats are acceptable for even long trips. This is not the Stow-&-Go version where the seats seem to be thinner, less comfortable. see full Chrysler Town & Country review
2007 4dr Minivan, ext. 200-horsepower 3.8L V6

2008 4dr Minivan, ext. 251-horsepower 4.0L V6

Stow-n-Go rear seats (rear AND middle seats fold flat into floor) are a mixed blessing. GREAT for cargo room flexibility but too small for best comfort for larger adults. see full Chrysler Town & Country review
2007 4dr Minivan, ext. 200-horsepower 3.8L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
inadequate thigh support, difficulty adjusting power seat into good position, seat bottom too flat and "lumpy" with leather/heated seats see full Chrysler Town & Country review

4-speed automatic FWD
the drivers seat in relation to the steering wheel is off too the left a bit see full Chrysler Town & Country review

TrueDelta Reviews the Seat Room and Comfort of the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle

2014 Volkswagen Beetle Seat Room and Comfort: Cons
YearComment
Back in the 1960s VW entreated Americans to "think small." Lately, though, the German manufacturers cars have been getting bigger and bigger. The latest redesign added over two inches to the car's length (now 168 inches) and over two inches to its width (now a midsize-like 71.2 inches. Compared to the 146-by-66-inch, 2,822-pound Mini and the 140-by-64-inch, 2,434-pound Fiat, the 3,340-pound Beetle TDI convertible is a big, heavy car. As noted earlier, solidity and ride quality benefit from this additional bulk. But rear seat room does not. Sure, the Beetle Convertible's rear seat is more viable than the MINI's, but bars to clear rarely come lower. The Fiat is in the same (adults-in-a-pinch) ballpark. In addition to the space shortage, the VW's rear seat back is uncomfortably upright. see full Volkswagen Beetle review

The back seat, if you could really call it that, leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe another 3 in. That being said it fits a car seat with my 6' frame in the front seat ahead of it, so it gets the job done. Once the top goes down the interior space seems adequate. see full Volkswagen Beetle review
