Escape; a dressed up Focus (a good thing!) 2014 Ford Escape Pros and Cons Member3137 Slightly less fuel mileage than I would have expected from the 1.6 turbo. Currently averaging about 24 in mixed driving. And I am not a lead foot with this car. |

2014 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh The Tiguan's EPA ratings of 20 mpg city, 26 mpg highway place it near the bottom of the segment. The Escape with the 2.0T engine and all-wheel-drive does a bit better, 21/28. Neither can match the BMW's 22/33. But the BMW cheats by being barely tall enough to be considered... A Pretty Decent Cute-Ute, All Things Considered 2012 Ford Escape Pros and Cons Member4238 Fuel economy suffers thanks to the need to downshift for even smaller hills and the vehicle's brick-like aerodynamic profile. EPA ratings are 20/28, real-world is closer to 24. |

2013 Mazda CX-5 Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh On the EPA tests, the CX-5 achieves 26 miles-per-gallon in city driving, and 35 on the highway--with a manual transmission you can only get with the base trim level and front-wheel drive. The automatic trims the highway figure to 32, while the AWD model checks in at 25/31. Still... Comparison vehicle: 2013 Ford Escape |

2006 Ford Escape Pros and Cons Member5104 I was looking for better mileage. I got 33+ no problem. The car taught me how to drive more efficiently. I am getting 34-35+ in the summer months now. My son has learned to drive the same way by starting with the Hybrid. |
