Ford F-150 Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2013 4dr Crew Cab 5.5ft bed turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic 4WD w/low range
Even with a heavy duty grill guard installed, fuel economy averages about 18-19. With a tailwind I've seen 22-23 on the highway. see full Ford F-150 review
2012 2dr Regular Cab 6.5ft bed 302-horsepower 3.7L V6
6-speed automatic RWD
Really excellent, considering. Over 18 mpg city hand measured over multiple tanks IF its broken in and uses high test no ethanol. see full Ford F-150 review
2011 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 302-horsepower 3.7L V6

Sucks, I read before buying peoplewere getting 16-19, Wellmine is lucky to get 14mpg and I'm a light foot grandpa, Real world suburb dring with some lights and traffic 14mpg, I feel on the open highway it would get 17-18mpg but no actual driving experience for that, Mine is all suburbwith some stop and go My 2005 Toyota V6auto RWD got 17mpg city and 25mpg highway wake up FORD see full Ford F-150 review
2011 4dr Crew Cab 5.5ft bed turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
Economically moving a nearly 6000 pound vehicle with 4 wheel drive and 3:73 gears is quite a job for any engine. Even with the aerodynamics of a brick, this little V6 manages anywhere from 16-20 mpg on regular gas. see full Ford F-150 review
2010 4dr Crew Cab 5.5ft bed 310-horsepower 5.4L V8
6-speed automatic RWD
So far, with a light foot and the majority of the miles are on the freeway, my fuel economy is over 19 mpg. Not bad for a big super cab truck with a V8, camper shell, and carpet kit. On long trips I have hit 21.5 mpg. Mostly it's around 17 driving fast, lead foot, and city mileage. see full Ford F-150 review
2010 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 310-horsepower 5.4L V8
6-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
I know this isnt anything impressive compared to some vehicles these days, but I am overall impressed with the fuel economy Im getting from the 5.4L V8. I usually average about 17.5 MPG, not bad at all for a big V8. I personally expected much worse MPG. see full Ford F-150 review
