Economically moving a nearly 6000 pound vehicle with 4 wheel drive and 3:73 gears is quite a job for any engine. Even with the aerodynamics of a brick, this little V6 manages anywhere from 16-20 mpg on regular gas.
This thing sucks up road irregularities like they are not even there. When the truck does encounter really rough roads there is nary a squeak or rattle to hear! Washboard roads will induce some chatter but it is not intolerable.
While only having only 4000 miles on my FX4, I also have a Ecoboost F150 Platinum with 10,000 miles on it and no problems to report so far. Neither has failed us at any time and the engines have zero oil consumption. Seen long trips with no problems too!
