2012 Ford Focus Seat Room and Comfort: Cons

Like other recently designed Fords, the Focus has a tighter rear seat than most competitors. At 5-9, I can sit behind myself with perhaps an inch to spare. see full Ford Focus review |

2012 Ford Focus Powertrain: Pros

2013 | 4dr Hatch turbocharged 252hp 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
It's not the added horsepower over the other Focus models that is most impressive. The immense torque, from quite low rpm (2000) is what sets this hot hatch apart. It makes the car so easy to drive as a daily driver. You don't have to constantly shift to have useful power. It's almost always there. Turbo lag is brief, and full power is decent, but not extraordinary. In fact it feels like it's out of breath by about 6000 rpm. I'm sure some aftermarket tuning will help bump up the top end, but don't alter the car's performance to the detriment of all that torque. It's really the main character in this drive train's story. see full Ford Focus review |

Car stumbled and died in the drive thru line at Starbucks on the way to church on Sunday morning. WOULD NOT restart. Used the key in the slot and it still wouldn't start. Kept saying "Parking Assist needs Service". Very funny, i DON'T HAVE PARKING ASSIST on my car. So it's dead. I called Roadside assistance and gave them my VIN number. Thank goodness I bought the FORD FACTORY EXTENDED SERVID PLAN so they paid $100 of my $135 tow bill. That was sunday morning. It's THURSDAY NIGHT and i called the dealer again (for the 4th time). THEY STILL HAVE NOT EVEN LOOKED AT MY CAR YET. Do you want to know why? Because they are SO covered up with Transmission problems from Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta. That's Right, they have SO MANY BROKEN DOWN FORDS that they can't even get to my car which is completely broken after 4 complete business days they haven't even moved it into the shop yet (it has a dead battery now thanks to the ECU flickering ON and OFF). FORD IS JUNK. I'm NEVER going to buy one of them again.... EVER. And i haven't even begun to tell you about the My Ford Sync problems. I heard that Apple is entering that market with something called CarPlay for playing music from apple products and that FORD is dropping Microsoft as a partner for SYNC. HA HA. BAD SOFTWARE from Microsoft caused Ford so many problems that they are dropping them. Can you imagine? Somebody's quality is SO BAD, that even FORD has to drop them. WOW, that sucks, but then again, the whole car sucks. NEVER AGAIN FORD. EVER... see full Ford Focus review |
