8 years later, I'm still very pleased with this car. No powertrain issues, 100,000 miles later and it still impresses co-workers who think is is brand new. Yes the platform is 'old', but, don't be put off by the 'reviews' you might read from the 'professionals'. You will read that this car is old and very heavy. But, if you look at other 4 door AWD 365HP sedans, this car is actually lighter than many, including the 2018 Hyundai G80 Sport.
The car has now been on the market for 9 years with only one minor update to the front. The car is still competitive in the 4 door AWD sedan market with 365HP. With steep rebates and discounts, even this 'old' car can be found around $10k off MSRP, which is a great buy. The last Taurus is slated to be built in March 2019, so find yours soon. It will easily last you 10 years with regular maintenance.
