A hose was loose allowing exhaust to leak into the cabin. I suspect it was pulled loose when they replaced the engine mount, but I can't be sure.
The car was driving fine then it stumbled very badly, shook a lot, and died in traffic. Wouldn't restart. Towed to the dealer and they said there was a hole in one of the pistons and with the damage that it caused, a new engine was needed. After labor and tax, it would be $7800.00

Noted car running rough when we drove it out driveway after leaving it in our garage for 2 weeks (out of town).
Took to dealer for inspection: Rodent incursion. Chipmunk nibbled through wiring harness. Made nest and stored acorns. New wiring harness installed after cleaning up mess.
Vehicle would not want to start after refueling, and posted a check engine light. Scanned the code, and determined that the purge valve was malfunctioning. Replaced the purge valve, cleared codes, vehicle runs fine now.
Was getting a CEL posting, so scanned and found an emissions leak code. Replaced fuel cap to remedy.
"Tighten fuel cap" message flashed in DIC frequently, and a check engine light was posted. I replaced the fuel cap, but the issue persisted. Drapery diagnosed it as a faulty evaporative purge canister by fuel tank. Replaced the canister.
"Tighten fuel cap" light came back on, and code P0455 was set again. The found that the other valve, replaced last December, was bad. And upon further inspection, they found it was actually full of oil, due to high amounts of blow into the intake. Started a case with GM Customer Service.

Day 1: Dash (gauges, fan controls, radio) all stopped working while in drive mode. Day 2: Dash stopped working again, engine shut itself off while in drive mode. Dropped off to dealer immediately. Dealer could not replicate, problem hasn't returned.

Dealership had to replace my fuel injectors and advised me not to use VALERO fuel due to the black residue their fuel contains. Supposedly this has happened to many people and damaged many vehicles.
Supposedly another coil went bad. This is the third time a coil has needed to be replaced. It is a very expensive repair. I would gladly get rid of my GMC Acadia if I could.

Check engine light on. Dealer reset and stated they couldn't find a problem associated with codes. Check engine light came on 4 days after leaving dealer. Took to a different dealer (on a road trip). That dealer stated that the codes were "old" and reset the light. After we returned home we took the Acadia to our selling dealer. They had to keep it for 4 days and were eventually able to replicate problem (engine light, rough handling) and replaced fuel injector 1. No problems since.
CEL was diagnosed to be a fuel vent filter that needed to be replaced.

ECM/TCM Reprogramming for Driveability Issues. Transmission dead spot between 2nd and 3rd when shifting. Dangerous when entering highway traffic. Excessive accelerator pedal travel required to speed up or force drop to lower gear.
Radiator fluid 1/2 gallon low. Discovered due to service bulletin. Overflow tank showed full. Removed vanity cover to acess radiator cap and fluid was low. Suspect rear AC evaporator and long cooling lines not properly de-aired at assembly.

Two days after June repair, I noticed a leak (10-16 oz) of red fluid at right front corner of engine compartment. I had previously informed the dealer & local mech about it. It was a leak from the water pump. Replaced pump.

PCV valve was leaking oil.
Water pump was leaking. Engine was leaking oil from the front cover. Engine had to be pulled to replace the seal. While the engine was pulled, technician found excessive camshaft endplay. Camshafts and heads were repaired.

Attempted optional May 8th TSB for flat spot when accelerating transmission reflash. Flash did not take, must be done again.

Ambient Temp sensor reads wrong. Avg MPG reading gets stuck on 11.3 and will not change untill reset. Car is getting about 10 MPG.

I experienced drop in engine power after I accelerated rapidly. Turning the auto off and restarting it twice cleared up the diagnostic center except for the engine light. The dealer said to bring it in soon for a checkup.

A heater hose T-fitting connecting 3 hoses sheared and caused massive coolant leak. The fitting is a non replaceable part. It is part of an assembly of hoses that cost $153.
The camshafts wore out the camshaft bearings and moved laterally as a result and its gears jumped out of place in the timing chain. The engine stopped producing power needed towing. All upper engine parts replaced.
Diagnostic ($140.00) revealed dirty valves. Dealer recommended Wynn's cleans ($300.00). This all stemmed from the engine light coming on.

Dealer trying to detemine transmission problem noticed in July. Said previous dealer misdiagnosed the problem. NTF, but when car returned the Service Engine light was on - P0222 - knock sensor bank 2. Found bad knock sensor for bank 2. Dealer stated this may have been my transmission problem back in July - yeah right. Replaced the sensor only not the ECM.

Significant oil found in throttle body intake. Replaced one PCV, unclogged the other & cleaned throttle body.
Check engine light on - diagnosed as a faulty emissions control cannister in fuel tank. Parts ordered and follow-up appointment made. Fuel tank removed and replacement emissions control cannister installed in fuel system.
Check engine light on - problem with gas tank vapor recovery system. Diagnosed as bad valve in vapor recovery system, but this is same problem previously "fixed" with replacement of emissions vapor cannister months previously.
A part previously ordered - a control valve in the evaporative emmisions system was installed, completing the repair of the item intially reported in November.

Timing chain was identified as STRETCHED, and was replaced under warranty while it was in for a transmission rebuild. The dealer indicated that there were diagnostic codes associated with this problem in the Acadia's computer log. Engine cylinder head clearance was 'out of tolerance' according to the service advisor and was REPLACED under the factory 5 year / 100K power train warranty.
