GMC Acadia Fuel Economy: Pros
Year Body/Powertrain Comment
2012 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD I purchased this vehicle in April of 2012,new with less than 25 miles showing. My wife drives this car to work each day, round trip is approx 30 miles. She is averaging 17 mpg, but on trips I drive and can average 22-23 mpg. I usually cruise the interstate at 70-80 mph. and I do use the cruise control. The mpg will vary but I have seen a high of 25 and a low of 21. Overall very pleased with the ride and comfort, when traveling there are usually 3 adults and luggage.
2009 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD Great MPG for size of the Acadia,
2009 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD I routinely get 19 to 20 MPG per tank. Mixed use, neighborhood road till I hit highway to work. 16 in and around town mostly.
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD For a vehicle the size, it get decent fuel economy. Driving the speedlimit sure does help, pushing that much air at 80 really hurts fuel economy.
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD Love the fuel economy of the Acadia... we get 19-22mpg in town.. and 22-26mpg on the interstate. Vehicle speed really affects the mileage attained. We get the best mileage at 55-60mph... it really drops when doing 70-80mph..
2007 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD We drove to DisneyWorld in Orlando, Florida and were loaded down with people and luggage, and we got 23-24 mpg on the Interstate. We were thrilled.
2007 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD better than anything else its size
2007 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD still could be better
2007 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD 22mpg at 70mph
2007 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD Very good for a big vehicle.
GMC Acadia Fuel Economy: Cons
Year Body/Powertrain Comment
2012 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD no cons to report
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD 17 mpg on average.
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD Even with conservative driving over long distance, was not able to get close to EPA MPG. In order to get those numbers I have to depart too far from my normal driving habits - wont happen easily, no fun. Especially when the Acadia is so willing to sprint.
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD At near $4.00 per gallon, man it hurts to fill up right abour $85.00 per tank....ouch that hurts!
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD Our Acadia only gets around 13 to 15 mpg.
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic FWD Getting 19 mpg in mixed use. Not much better than the Tahoe 4wd we had.
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD We bought the AWD for safety, but still get only 15-18 mpg. Not horrible, but certainly not great.
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD mediocre fuel economy 16-17 mpg
2008 4dr SUV 288-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD While pulling a trailler the gaz economy was 11 milles per gallon....
