2015 Hyundai Sonata Seat Room and Comfort: Pros

2015	According to the spec sheets, the Ford Fusion has nearly as much combined legroom as the new Sonata, which has an inch more than the old Sonata. But Ford cheats the specs. In reality, the Hyundai's rear seat has a few more inches of rear legroom than the Ford's, and about as much as you'll find in any competitor. Rear headroom is in shorter supply, but (again as in most competitors) should be sufficient for people up to six feet in height. The rear seat cushion is a little too low and level to provide optimal thigh support, but the space to stretch out largely compensates for this. 2014	Both cars have comfortable front seats, but the ELR's provide more lateral support, at least with the $2,450 brown interior option (which adds power adjusters to their modestly sized side bolsters). Front seat access isn't among the ELR's strengths. As is often the case with coupes, the doors are long and heavy. see full Cadillac ELR review

	The Volt's rear seat is pretty tight. The Cadillac ELR's is even tighter. At 5-9, I barely have enough space for my head and knees, and this when sitting behind someone my own size. Put someone taller in the front seat, and even pre-teens will have trouble squeezing into the back seat. This being a two-door, rear seat access is also dicey. The Tesla's rear seat is far roomier than either GM car's. Plus a rear-facing third row is optional. see full Cadillac ELR review
