Why the 2009 Hyundai Sonata?

Exterior styling

I like the short headlights. The front end is very attractive along with the lines leading to the rear. Vehicle stance is classy. Slight bend in the front lines while straightening to the back. Doors flush with exterior molding.

Materials & workmanship

Dashboard is not plastic but a synthetic plastic for enhanced feel. Door arm rests well planned out. easy to feel for window and mirror controls. Best middle compartment with iPod hookup. Multiple areas for storage. Impressive audio and audio controls.

Front seat room

Front seat is very comfortable. up/down movement works well. Front back movement mechanics work well. Seat comfortable for long trips but not too long. Seat is a good hard to soft feel.

Rear seat room & comfort

spacious rear seat. This is a large sedan. Rear head room is plenty. nice seat placement with body form. Head rests not too far back. Rests adjust well. Middle seat becomes a cup holder/arm rest for two.

Cargo capacity

large cargo capacity but low opening limited me from loading larger boxes. Office size boxes can fit better with 6 inches above. Long Garden tools load easily with 60/40 fold down seats. no towing hitch.

Why Not the 2009 Hyundai Sonata?

Powertrain performance

175 hp is not enough. This is a heavy car with all the amenities in the GLS. Stereo, plush seats, heavy dash, stability control, heavier steel panels tolls in weight but excellent manual stick when driving on ice sheets or tough snow, light snow a breeze.
